GrainSearch has a strong track record of delivering new varieties to the marketplace through our intensive Research and Development program to ensure that the latest agronomic and quality traits reach both the growers and end users.
GrainSearch utilises strong linkages with end users to successfully support the commercialisation on new varieties into the market. In recent years, GrainSearch successfully released Westminster Barley, using the strong support of Barrett Burston Malting (BBM) to encourage growers to try Westminster on-farm. GrainSearch also launched Manning wheat in Tasmania, with a well-supported ‘closed loop’ arrangement, which gave growers strong confidence in the ability to sell their grain. GrainSearch also works with key Seed Growing Affiliates throughout Australia to ensure good grower access to high quality commercial seed.
